Last week, the LXVII graduating class held the traditional graduation ceremony for 2nd year Baccalaureate students in Gaztelueta., in which students and teachers shared moments that will remain in everyone's memory.

The day began with the photo of the promotion in the green of the chalet and was followed by a thanksgiving mass for all that we have experienced during these years at the school.

The historical tradition of the promotion border

A much awaited moment among the attendees was the presentation of the promotion banner, -on this occasion with a clear red and white tinge-, a historical tradition in Gaztelueta that caricatures each of the graduates and their teachers in an amusing image that will serve as a souvenir once their time at the school has come to an end.

Eager to discover it, the pupils crowded around the image to find themselves in it, joking about the image their teachers had captured of each of them over the years, in an illustration full of humour and intention.

The day progressed and the excitement was becoming more and more evident. It was time to sit down at the table and share what would officially be their last meal together in the Gaztelueta canteen. The atmosphere started off festive and the initial euphoria turned to excitement and nerves when it was time for the speeches.

MIkel Elía, director of Gaztelueta, gave way after a few words to Jaime Zamanillo, who, as representative of the graduating class, addressed all those present in an emotional speech in which he emphasised the gratitude for what they have experienced over the years at Gaztelueta and the value of the friendship they have forged between them.

Before signing this point and apart in Gaztelueta, it is time to make a last effort to close the last school year by putting into practice in the EBAU some of the habits acquired over the years: the capacity for effort, perseverance and responsibility.
