The day began with the photo of the promotion in the green of the chalet and was followed by a thanksgiving mass for all that we have experienced during these years at the school.
A much awaited moment among the attendees was the presentation of the promotion banner, -on this occasion with a clear red and white tinge-, a historical tradition in Gaztelueta that caricatures each of the graduates and their teachers in an amusing image that will serve as a souvenir once their time at the school has come to an end.
Eager to discover it, the pupils crowded around the image to find themselves in it, joking about the image their teachers had captured of each of them over the years, in an illustration full of humour and intention.
Sport, of course, was also present on this day, being as it is a key element in the development of the country. Gaztelueta's educational project. The students of the LXVII graduating class faced each other at the grass pitch The event was followed by an evenly matched game of football, and then a selection of the graduating class played a match against several of their teachers from their various stages at the school. On this occasion, the experience of the latter won out over the youth of the honorees, who found the perfect excuse to meet up again in the near future as Alumni in a rematch.
The day progressed and the excitement was becoming more and more evident. It was time to sit down at the table and share what would officially be their last meal together in the Gaztelueta canteen. The atmosphere started off festive and the initial euphoria turned to excitement and nerves when it was time for the speeches.
MIkel Elía, director of Gaztelueta, gave way after a few words to Jaime Zamanillo, who, as representative of the graduating class, addressed all those present in an emotional speech in which he emphasised the gratitude for what they have experienced over the years at Gaztelueta and the value of the friendship they have forged between them.
With the maturity of the years and the ever closer distance from Gaztelueta, the 2nd year Baccalaureate students looked back to value the mark that Gaztelueta will leave on them. throughout his life. Grateful for the commitment, involvement and affection of their teachers and non-teaching staff The daily example of all of them was recognised as the most valuable learning and they assumed the unquestionable personal stamp that Gaztelueta leaves in each of them.
His years at Gaztelueta have undoubtedly marked his academic career, but, above all, his personal development. The way he has dealt with each of his teachers from kindergarten to the present day, the conversations he has had with his teachers, the conversations he has had with preceptorsthe coexistence and the personal and academic challenges they have experienced together, have marked the personal development of each of them and as a group, as well as their educational path until he discovered his professional vocation.
