University and vocational guidance day in Gaztelueta

On 14 March 2025, Gaztelueta successfully held its University and Career Guidance Day, a key event in which students were able to learn first-hand about different academic options and career opportunities. On 14 March 2025, Gaztelueta celebrated with great success its University and Vocational Guidance Daya key event in which students were able to learn first-hand about different academic options and career opportunities. The event was attended by experts from various sectors who shared their experience and knowledge with the students.

The opening session was led by Pepe Zayas:

The rPage Group Representative - Michael Pagespoke about the labour market, training and essential values for the future career. His intervention allowed the audience to reflect on the importance of training and ethics in the workplace.

Throughout the morning, the students participated in different talks organised in three main areas of knowledge: Social Sciences, Scientific-Technical and Bio-sanitary.

In the field of Social Sciences,

The interventions of Patricia LizarragaProfessor at the University of Deusto and member of Iberdrola, who spoke about Business Administration and Management, and Fernando CalvoThe entrepreneur and founder of several companies such as IMBox, Balrog and CrossFit Leioa, who inspired the students with his experience in the world of entrepreneurship. In addition, Rodrigo Vilallonga, lawyer at Vilallonga Abogados, gave an interesting presentation on Law and Economics.

On the other hand, in the area Scientific-Technical,

José Ramón Merinotelecommunications engineer and SENER's Project Manager, gave a talk on engineering, while Juan Cabo and Luis YbarraThe former students shared their experience in the field of Physics and Electronic Engineering, especially addressing students interested in these fields.

In the sector Biosanitary,

students were able to listen to José Luis BlázquezHead of the Emergency Department of the Urduliz Hospital, who addressed fundamental issues about the medical profession. Cristina Moralesfrom the University of Navarra, provided key information on the field of Biochemistry, while Marta CaramésD. in Pharmacy, presented the opportunities in this field.

To close the day,

a session was held on Colleges and other educational alternativesin which Iñaki Cires of the Colegio Mayor Ayete presented different accommodation and training options for students continuing their higher education.

The event was a success, providing students with valuable tools to make decisions about their academic and professional future. Gaztelueta would like to thank all the speakers for their time and dedication, as well as the students for their active participation in this orientation day.
