The tennis balls act as shock absorbers, reducing the sound of chairs and tables hitting the floor. This creates a quieter classroom environment, making it easier for students to concentrate and reducing auditory fatigue.

A study carried out by the University of California, Irvinefound that a reduction of just 5 decibels in classroom noise can significantly improve students' ability to concentrate and learn.
