Last Friday 12 December 2025, at the headquarters of the Basque Government in Lakua (Vitoria-Gasteiz), The award ceremony took place at the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Awards 2024-2025, The Basque Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, a recognition of the academic excellence of students from the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country who have completed this educational stage with an outstanding performance.
Among the laureates were our student Iñigo Fernández de Prado, who received this prestigious award in recognition of his effort, dedication and high academic performance throughout the two years of Bachillerato.
The ceremony was attended, together with Iñigo, by their parents, grandparents and brother, who accompanied the student on this special day. On behalf of Gaztelueta, attended Mikel Elía, headmaster of the school, y Chechu Garitagoitia, Baccalaureate teacher, He emphasised the pride of all Gaztelueta for this achievement.
The event was chaired by the Minister of Education of the Basque Government, Begoña Pedrosa, He underlined the importance of these awards as a stimulus for young people and as recognition of the perseverance, commitment and excellence of Basque students.
In the framework of this event, a total of fourteen students, selected from thousands of participants from all over the Basque Country, who have stood out not only for their qualifications, but also for their attitude and commitment to their training.
