Within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goal, Gaztelueta has taken a step forward in the responsible use of materials for its furniture. A recent analysis of the origin and composition of the tables and benches used in classrooms and common areas has highlighted our school's commitment to sustainability and efficiency in the use of resources.

Through an environmental awareness initiative, students have investigated what materials the school's tables and benches are made of, discovering that much of the furniture comes from recycled or sustainably sourced materials. This effort reinforces the school's commitment to the environment and education in ecological values.

According to Aritz Sevilla, head of the Zinkers Project at Gaztelueta "It is important for our students to understand the origin of the objects we use every day and the impact they have on the planet. Encouraging critical thinking and environmental awareness is a fundamental part of our educational project".

With this type of action, the school not only reinforces its identity as a school committed to ecological responsibility, but also promotes reflection on the importance of responsible consumption and the circular economy.

This initiative is part of a series of projects that seek to integrate the SDGs into the daily lives of students, preparing them to be conscious and responsible citizens of their environment.
