The Basque Government's official enrolment deadline for the 2025-2026 academic year will be from 3 to 14 February 2025. During this period, interested families must submit the official enrolment application online. through the website of the Department of Education or in person at Gaztelueta as long as this is the educational centre chosen as the first option.
They will have to formalise the official enrolment process of the Basque Government:
The online enrolment application process allows you to complete the process without having to go to the school in person. Register as a user on the website https://ikasgunea.euskadi.eus/es/inicio is a simple process in which you will only need your personal details.
Once you have created a user, the process is intuitive and will allow you to attach the required documents to formalise the process. Do not hesitate to contact Gaztelueta if you have any doubts during this process and we will accompany you telematically until the process is completed.
In any case, someone from the admissions department will contact you to confirm that your application has been successful and will guide you through the next steps.
From 3 to 14 February you will be able to register in person at Gaztelueta from 9am to 4pm, without the need for an appointment. For this option you will need to send us the required documentation in printed form or by e-mail [email protected].
It is very important that if your children have siblings in the school or in an affiliated centre, you check very carefully the details in Ikasgunea for the purposes of the scoring system. We also encourage you to review the data in Ikasgunea and to update them if necessary.
The documentation you will need to have available will be as follows:
1.- Official Basque Government application form duly filled in (this information is entered into the computer programme. We will help you at the secretary's office if you have any doubts).
2.- Photocopy of parents' ID card (not necessary in the online mode).
3.- Photocopy of the pupil's individual certificate from the Civil Registry Office.
4.- Certificate of census registration (VERY IMPORTANT: has to be the collective register of the habitual residence: where the child to be enrolled appears together with the father or mother, siblings...), issued by the Town Hall and not older than three months.
5.- Title of large family (if you are a large family)
