In the framework of the transdisciplinary theme "Who we arePEP 6 students received a very special visit from Inés Basterra, a content creator known on social networks as @hoycomemossanoa benchmark in the field of healthy eating and wellness.
The session is framed within the central idea of the project: "Our lifestyle impacts our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing".. Based on this premise, Inés shared with the students reflections and advice on the importance of maintaining balanced habits that contribute to a healthier and happier life. She talked to them about how food, rest and physical activity are closely related to our mood, our concentration and our daily energy.
In a very approachable and practical way, Inés explained that taking care of oneself is not just about "eating healthy", but about adopting a conscious attitude towards what we do every day: how we sleep, what we eat, how much we move and how we feel. Students were able to ask her questions, share their own routines and discover how small changes can have a big impact on their wellbeing.
One of the most anticipated moments was the examples of healthy dishes that Inés showed the students. Amidst laughter and curiosity, they analysed several simple and colourful recipes, demonstrating that eating well can also be fun. The children learned to combine natural ingredients, to enjoy the cooking process and to value the power of food as a source of energy and joy.
The activity aroused great interest among the pupils, who left with new ideas and motivation to take better care of themselves. This visit became a meaningful learning experience, which reinforces one of the objectives of the Primary School Programme (PYP): to develop pupils who are aware, responsible and committed to their own and others' well-being.
