At Gaztelueta we understand that true education goes beyond academic content: it also manifests itself in daily habits that form character, promote respect and favour coexistence. In this line, the care of spaces and personal responsibility are pillars of our educational proposal.

Last week, our students from PYP 7 to PYP 9 (4th, 5th and 6th of Primary) participated in the awards ceremony of the Project Clean Class, This is an initiative that encourages shared responsibility in the care of the classrooms and common areas of the school. This action is part of our Style guide and promotes order and cleanliness as habits that not only improve the physical environment, but also educate in essential values such as respect, discipline and cooperation.

The Clean Classroom Competition has involved the entire educational community: the students themselves evaluate the tidiness of their classrooms, the teachers accompany the process from their pedagogical perspective and the cleaning staff provide a professional and objective evaluation. This three-pronged approach allows students to understand that keeping a clean and tidy classroom is a shared responsibility that benefits us all.

The awards day, which was broadcast on our social media channels, included moments of pride and recognition for the groups that have shown perseverance and dedication. The winning classes received special mentions and celebrated their achievements with their classmates and teachers, reinforcing the value of working together towards a common goal.

In the words of Jaime Pascual, manager of Gaztelueta and in charge of presenting the awards, “a tidy and clean classroom is the reflection of a community that respects what belongs to everyone and understands that every small gesture influences daily coexistence”. This philosophy permeates our day to day, because at Gaztelueta we believe that education is not only about transmitting knowledge, but also about forming people with integrity and awareness of their environment.

Congratulations to all the students for their involvement!
