Last weekend, the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao hosted an outstanding performance of the musical The Greatest Showmanplayed by Jana Productions. The event, promoted by Gaztelueta, brought together hundreds of families from our school and many other schools in Bizkaia and Cantabria, who enjoyed a performance full of music, dance and emotion.
The adaptation of the famous musical, which tells the story of showman P.T. Barnum, was a resounding success thanks to the quality of the acting and staging, which kept the audience captivated throughout the show. Attendees were treated to a show that combined the energy of the actors with the power of the soundtrack, making the evening an entertaining experience for all ages.
JANA also has its own School of Performing Arts for more than 20 years in Madrid, with more than 20 locations around the world and with headquarters in Getxo from 2022 and in Bilbao from 2024 in its version Junior for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 16. An opportunity for training in artistic disciplines such as acting, singing and dance in which many young people from Bizkaia are finding a place where they can develop their talent and fulfil their vocation.
Last Sunday's event, beyond its cultural character, stood out for the importance of promoting family leisure activities. At a time when daily routines can alienate family members, initiatives like this one allow them to share common experiences and strengthen the bonds between parents and children, something that Gaztelueta has especially valued in organising this activity.
With a great reception from the educational community, the event demonstrated how theatre and music can be an excellent option for family enjoyment, offering both entertainment and an opportunity to enjoy art in a shared environment. Undoubtedly, a success that will be remembered by all who attended.
