Gaztelueta reaffirms its commitment to educational excellence by organising a conference on teacher training on the International Baccalaureate at the Global Schoolheld last Saturday. This initiative is part of the certification process as part of the applicant school for the International Baccalaureate (IB)The Global School, seeking to implement the Middle Years Programme (MYP) in its ESO and Bachillerato sections, in the Global School.
The main objective of the training day was to train teachers in the principles and methodologies of the MYP, an educational programme that fosters the development of critical thinking, enquiry and interdisciplinary understanding. Through theoretical and practical sessions, teachers acquired key tools to successfully implement this approach in their classrooms.
The teacher training on the International Baccalaureate at the Global School was carried out throughout the day, structured in different thematic blocks that allowed teachers to acquire key knowledge in a progressive and applied manner.
The day began with a welcoming session by the management team, who highlighted the importance of this training in the IB adoption process.
IB curriculum experts were on hand to guide teachers in the implementation of the most effective methodologies. During the sessions, the importance of learner autonomy, reflection and the application of knowledge in real contexts was highlighted.
The participating teachers expressed their satisfaction with the training received, highlighting the applicability of the strategies presented. "It has given us a better understanding of how to structure our classes to encourage critical thinking and enquiry in students," said one of the participants.
During the question and answer session, questions on the implementation of the IAP were addressed and solutions to overcome challenges that may arise in the adaptation process were discussed.
Gaztelueta will continue on its path towards IB certification with new training and follow-up sessions. In the coming months, additional activities will be carried out to consolidate the knowledge acquired and ensure a successful implementation of the programme.
The teacher training on the International Baccalaureate at the Global School is a sign of the school's commitment to educational innovation and to providing quality education that prepares students for the challenges of the future.
With initiatives such as this, Gaztelueta is positioning itself as a benchmark in the implementation of internationally recognised educational programmes. The educational community is eagerly awaiting the materialisation of the objectives set out, confident that this training will contribute to transforming the learning experience of the students.
