More than 60 students from the 1st year of Bachillerato received the sacrament of Confirmation yesterday in the parish church of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de las Mercedes (Las Arenas, Getxo), in a ceremony that took place in the parish church of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de las Mercedes (Las Arenas, Getxo).\u00a0ceremony presided over by the bishop of Bilbao, D. Joseba Segura.<\/strong>\u00a0Family and friends of the students wanted to be present at this important moment in their lives.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the ceremony, a pupil representing his classmates addressed a few simple words of thanks to the bishop, the parish priest of Our Lady of Mercy and the school for the education received over the years.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bishop visited the group of future confirmands the previous week in Gaztelueta. During the colloquium, he stressed the importance of this sacrament to the students and explained its meaning in depth. They also had the opportunity to participate by asking the bishop about various current issues related to the faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
