He has just celebrated his silver wedding anniversary with his wife, Mar\u00eda, with whom he has five children. He was a teacher at Gaztelueta for 22 years, teaching mathematics. For the last eight years he has been teaching in the public school network, currently as a teacher of Industrial Automation<\/em> in the CIFP Tartanga of Erandio<\/a>. His motto for life: Always learning<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What time do you wake up every morning?<\/strong> 6:45 am to go to work.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your best moment of the day?<\/strong> The time to come home from work every day. Weekends are for relaxing and enjoying time with friends.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your favourite film?<\/strong> Many of them. Periodically I like to see: The Godfather<\/em>, Raging bull<\/em>, Radio Stories<\/em>, Common places<\/em>...\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which historical figure would you go to dinner with?<\/strong> I would have liked to meet and hear my fellow Ordizian, Fray Andr\u00e9s de Urdaneta, a distinguished cosmographer and navigator, tell of the adventures of his sailing voyages.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What would you eat at your last meal?<\/strong> I have largely lost my taste for big meals. I remember how much fun we had at the dinners we used to have at the celebrations in Gaztelueta. I think it's more important who you're dining with than what you're dining on.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A phrase that has left its mark on you?<\/strong> The fear of the Lord is wisdom, turning away from evil, understanding.<\/em>(Job 28, 28).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What has been the best thing about your time at Gaztelueta?<\/strong> Without a doubt, meeting so many people: families, teachers, students, colleagues in general. A high level. For better or for worse, I am the way I am because of it and I am very grateful for it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which event do you remember most fondly?<\/strong> Earlier I recalled the hilarious dinners with colleagues and consorts. Music, jokes, news programmes... not forgetting the after-dinner get-togethers in the teacher's room <\/em>of the Central Pavilion. It was a very simple moment, but it was full of magic and people of a spectacular level.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
