For 8 years now, the Leioa City Council<\/a> convenes a group of pupils from local schools during school hours to share their opinions, views and wishes with the Mayor, helping him to make decisions with the intention that he enriches and learns through the eyes of children in his municipal responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Leioa Children's Council<\/strong> is a work team made up of 22 pupils aged between 10 and 12, including two 4th year pupils from Gaztelueta Primary School: Javier Mart\u00ednez and Juan Echevarr\u00eda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eight years ago, Leioa Town Council committed itself to this project, which Gaztelueta has been involved in from the outset, and which was started in Italy by the thinker and educator Francesco Tonucci<\/a>and is now starting to be implemented in other municipalities in the region.
