The results and conclusions of the analyses they have carried out in the laboratory during the current school year were presented to the scientific police by the students of the 1st Baccalaureate in Science.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gaztelueta.com\/es\/noticias\/csi-en-el-palacio-de-artaza\" title=\"Forensic Science STEAM \">Forensic police recreate a scenario of a theft of a famous painting <\/a><\/strong>which was on display in the Artaza Palace in Leioa. The young investigators received the evidence collected in the Palace and have had a whole school year to analyse it, write a report and present their conclusions before a jury made up of the scientific police.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Forensic Science STEAM\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"46ff4103-b954-4f5a-b5c1-e78942c908c4\" height=\"472\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gaztelueta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Forensic_science_gaztelueta_.jpg\" width=\"643\" class=\"align-center\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The police evaluated both the research papers and the students' presentations. After the deliberation and evaluation by the jury, each student received a diploma of participation in the international Forensic Science project,<strong> signed by Fernando Plazaola, dean of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/es\/web\/zientzia-teknologia-fakultatea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Faculty of Science and Technology of the UPV\/EHU<\/a> and Juan Vicente Bilbao, head of the scientific police of the Ertzaintza.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"video-embed-field-responsive-video form-group\"><iframe width=\"854\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rkgtmk-XD3Y?autoplay=1&amp;start=0&amp;rel=0\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>At the end of the ceremony, a word of thanks was given by a student and<strong> a plaque was presented to I\u00f1aki Irusta in recognition of his involvement in this innovative project from the very beginning.<\/strong>The project, in which schools from 10 different countries are taking part.<\/p>\n<p>The event was closed by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Division, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Yurrebaso, who took the opportunity to congratulate the students who participated.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday 28th May, the final phase of the Forensic Science project was held at the Ertzaintza headquarters (Erandio).
