This week our Baccalaureate students have taken part in the LQDVI Congress<\/a><\/strong> (What Really Matters<\/em>), held at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao<\/a>. This event, recognised nationally for promoting values such as respect, solidarity and personal effort, brought together hundreds of young people from different educational centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The LQDVI Congress, which is held annually, aims to inspire students to reflect on the importance of living according to ethical and social values and offers examples of self-improvement through lectures by leading figures in different fields. During this year's edition, our students had the opportunity to listen to several speakers who shared their personal experiences and reflections on the meaning of life and the importance of pursuing goals with commitment and determination. One of the testimonies that most moved our students was that of Mar\u00eda Gal\u00e1n, a 26 year old from Madrid, as founder of the NGO Babies Uganda<\/a>The story of the dramatic reality in which thousands of Ugandan children live is told through his social networks, which have a following of one million followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students highlighted the importance of the testimonies they heard and how these life stories motivated them to face their own academic and personal challenges with optimism and effort. In addition, some of them actively participated in the workshops and debates organised during the event, sharing their concerns and points of view with young people from other schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in the LQDVI Congress is part of the training plan for our Baccalaureate students, promoted to complement their academic training with training in values. The day was not only an opportunity for personal growth for our students, but also an opportunity to interact with other students from all over Bizkaia, fostering mutual respect and collaborative learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the congress, the students returned to school inspired by the testimonies heard, reaffirming their commitment to apply the values learnt during the event in their daily lives, and grateful for the experience lived in one of the most significant forums for young people in Spain.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
