They began with the removal of stones and weeds to reach the land where they began the first cultivation work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Start of the School Garden\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0tRolnY7q9Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Phase 2: They started planting.<\/strong>  After measuring the space and digging the holes, they began to plant the bulbs that the children had brought from home, as well as some thirty small shrubs that they were able to acquire thanks to the Zinkers prize they won last year. So that the school garden is a place full of life and joy, and so that together they can learn about nature, the importance of healthy eating and the responsibility of caring for the environment. Through the construction and maintenance of the chicken coop, our students will be able to learn about the&nbsp;<strong>LIFE CYCLE<\/strong>the importance of the&nbsp;<strong>sustainable agriculture and healthy food production.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"GAZTELUETA poultry house\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RTlE4rz3swI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They started with the planting of&nbsp;<strong>lettuce, red cabbage, kale and peas<\/strong>&nbsp;on the second bench. Firstly, it provides a practical and meaningful learning experience, as children can apply theoretical knowledge of subjects such as <em>science<\/em>mathematics and <em>gizarte<\/em> in a real-life context. Planting, caring for and harvesting crops gives them a better understanding of plant life cycles, the importance of photosynthesis and the concepts of ecology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the school garden promotes <strong>healthy eating habits<\/strong> By being directly involved in food production, our primary school pupils develop a greater appreciation for fresh fruit and vegetables, which can positively influence their diets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The school garden also strengthens <strong>values such as cooperation and teamwork<\/strong>The students have to work together to maintain the garden and solve problems together. This improves their social and communication skills.
