Book of protagonist
From their first steps through the Infantile stage, children learn to express themselves through very motivating activities. This is the case with the book of the protagonist. These are their first experiences of public speaking.
Students have the opportunity to acquire this important skill little by little and in a fun way, through amusing methods: they learn how to write and present a speech, do a humorous monologue and to know which postures and gestures must be eliminated to be a good speaker; sometimes they must sing and even sell a product.
Students gain social skills, exercise empathy and learn to manage their emotions. All this through fun activities, group dynamics and interpretation exercises, so that they can enjoy learning.
The great benefits that public speaking skills have in daily life and the professional future of students has led us to be confident when it comes to strengthening their oral expression. In Secondary there are different activities, such as debates where they learn to defend and present their ideas in an orderly and logical manner to their peers and teachers.
Students broadcast a weekly programme on Radio Vinilo in which they analyse the evolution of the different teams in the Spanish football league, as well as the progress of the other main European leagues.
Gaztelueta has Course Councils to facilitate the active participation of students in school life. Every year, students elect their representatives from among their classmates to be part of this representative body.
